A bus exploded in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Wednesday, 16 April, after the vehicleโs compressed natural gas fuel tank ruptured, damaging nearby cars and businesses. Shreveport Fire Department responded to reports of a bus fire, which escalated to an explosion shortly after the crew arrived, at about 2:37 pm. Firefighters were able to establish a safety parameter around the vehicle and evacuated all 11 passengers before the blast. No injuries were reported.
