U.S. airstrikes on Yemenโs capital, Sanaa, and other regions have killed at least 12 people and injured 30, according to Houthi sources. The strikes targeted locations including markets, military sites, and infrastructure across areas like Kamaran Island, Marib, and Attan. These attacks follow a deadly U.S. strike on the Ras Isa fuel port that left 74 dead. The U.S. is targeting the Iran-aligned Houthi group in response to their repeated attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes and threats against Israel. Between late 2023 and early 2024, the Houthis attacked over 100 vessels, disrupting a critical global trade route. The current U.S. campaign, reportedly more aggressive than previous efforts, began under President Trump and intensified after Houthis resumed attacks post-Gaza ceasefire. The Houthis, in control of Sanaa since 2014, are part of the ‘Axis of Resistance.’ Over 200 people have been killed in U.S. strikes since March, amid limited independent verification. #usairstrikes #yemenconflict #sanaaattacks #houthis #redseasecurity #trumpadministration #usmilitary #globaltraderoute #middleeastcrisis #rasisa #moneycontrol
